Question not listed?
No problem, we answer almost every question within 4 hours on working days.
You can change your password yourself: straight from our webmail interface, or via the customer portal.
Need an extra email address for a colleague, a department (like info@ of administratie@), or simply a second mailbox for yourself? You can create it yourself in the customer portal. No waiting, no ticket.
Tip: stuck? Email or call us and we will go through it together.
Do you have a text tweak, a new photo, or a button that should sit somewhere else? Email it to feedback@i-job.nl. Your message goes straight to the right person. We aim to pick it up within 2 working days; when it is busy or the job is bigger it can take a little longer.
Do you already have a domain name while we build your new website? Then the two need to be connected. There are three ways to do that. Which one fits best depends on whether you want to keep your domain and email with your current provider.
Option 1: Transfer the domain to us
You move the domain over to i-job completely. We cover the cost and set everything up: website, email and DNS. You will not have to think about it again.
- Request a transfer code from your current provider. This is also called an token, auth-code of EPP-code. You usually find it in your control panel under the domain settings; otherwise just request it by email.
- Forward the code to us. Together with the domain name in question.
- We take care of the rest. You do not need to do anything else. Your email keeps working during the transfer.
Option 2: You keep the domain, website and email with us
You keep managing the domain yourself, but run both the website and the email with us. To do that you point the nameservers to us, at the company where your domain is registered.
- Log in with your domain provider and look for the setting nameservers of DNS servers.
- Replace the existing nameservers with the three below.
- Save. It takes up to 24 hours before the change has gone through everywhere.
- Nameserver 1
ns1.cheesehosting.net- Nameserver 2
ns2.cheesehosting.net- Nameserver 3
ns3.cheesehosting.net
Option 3: Only the website to us
Your domain and your email stay with your current provider. Only the website points to our server. For that you change a single line in your DNS settings.
- Log in with your domain provider and go to DNS settings of DNS management.
-
Find the A record named
@(that stands for your domain itself). - Set the value to our IP address (see below) and save.
- Type
A- Name
@- Value
93.190.187.190
www needs an extra record.
Do you already have a business email address on your own domain, for example info@jouwdomein.nl? Then that mail moves along the moment we take over your domain. Your email address stays exactly the same, but the mailbox moves to our server. In practice that means you get a new mailbox from us, with new login details.
Is there already a website on that domain? It stays online right up to the moment we put your new site live. From then on everyone sees the new website.
Do you want your old mail moved along?
A new mailbox is empty at first. Your old messages, folders and sent items are still with your previous provider. We can transfer that content for you, so you will find everything in your new mailbox just as you knew it. We do that free of charge.
So let us know before the move what you prefer: your old mail moved along, or a fresh start with an empty mailbox.
- Where your mail is now
- the company hosting your business email
- Your email address
info@jouwdomein.nl- The password
- the password for that email address
Not sure where your mail is hosted? Just name your provider, or the web address where you open your webmail. That is enough for us to go on. Do you have several mailboxes on this domain? Pass them all on and we will take them in one go.
- Pass the details on to your contact person at i-job. That is the person you deal with about your website. By email or by phone, whichever you prefer.
- We create the new mailbox and copy your messages. You do not have to do anything for that. You can simply keep mailing in the meantime.
- You receive your new login details from us. Use them to log in to the webmail, or to set the mailbox up in the app on your computer or phone.
SEO stands for search engine optimization, or search engine optimisation. It comes down to building your website so Google understands it and shows it high enough when someone searches for what you offer.
The difference with advertising: with Google Ads you pay per click and stay at the top for as long as you pay. With SEO you pay nothing per visitor, but it takes time before you climb. The two are not mutually exclusive; plenty of businesses do both.
What Google looks at
There are hundreds of signals behind it, but they roughly fall into three groups.
- Technology. Does the site load quickly? Does it work well on a phone? Can Google find and read every page? Are there no broken links or error messages?
- Content. Does the page really answer the question someone searched for? A page about "dormer windows Utrecht" should genuinely be about that, with useful information and not three lines of text.
- Trust. Do other websites link to you? Do you have reviews? Has your business been around a while? Google uses signals like that to judge whether you are a serious player.
What we take care of while building
We arrange the technical basics during the build, so your site can be read properly from day one:
- A site that loads fast and works well on mobile
- Page titles and descriptions that show up in Google
- A sitemap and a tidy page structure, so Google can find everything
- A secure connection (https)
- Readable addresses, so
/dakkapelleninstead of/?p=473
What you can do yourself (this helps most)
The technology is the foundation, but the biggest gains usually sit with you. You know what customers ask and the words they use for it.
- A separate page per service. One page with everything on it scores worse than a dedicated page per topic.
- Write the words your customers use. If they search for "plumber" and you call it "sanitary installation engineering", you miss them.
- Your own photos of your work. Better than stock photos, and visitors linger on them longer.
- Keep your Google Business Profile up to date. For local businesses that is often more important than the website itself.
- Ask customers for a review. It takes one message and counts for a lot.
How long does it take?
Expect a few months before you notice anything, and longer for competitive keywords. SEO works like a savings account: it builds up slowly, but what you build stays. If you want visitors tomorrow, advertising is the right tool.
You can read your mail anytime, anywhere through our webmail. No app needed, just your browser.

Would you like your business I-JOB mail in Google's Gmail app? We have a detailed guide ready that walks you through the settings step by step.
Would you like your mail in an external app such as Spark, Outlook or Apple Mail? Follow these steps:
Do you have an iPhone and simply want to use the Mail app that is already on it? Then follow Add your mail on your iPhone, that guide is made exactly for that.
- Download a mail app. We recommend Spark Mail. It is free and works on phone, computer and laptop.
- Install and open the app. Click "Add account".
- Enter your email address. The address you had created through I-JOB.
- Choose "Additional settings". Not automatic, entering it by hand is more reliable.
- Enter the server details (see below).
- Click login. Your mail account is now connected.

All you need is your email address and its password. Allow about two minutes.
- Open Settings on your iPhone. The grey cog.
- Go to Apps → Mail. No Apps in your settings (older iPhone)? Then scroll straight down to Mail.
- Tap Mail Accounts → Add Account.
- Choose Other at the bottom, then Add Mail Account. So not iCloud, Google or Outlook. Your mail runs through our own server.
-
Fill in your details and tap Next:
- Name: the name the recipient sees, for example your company name.
- Email: your full address, for example
info@jouwbedrijf.nl. - Password: the password of that mail address (not your iPhone passcode).
- Description: what the account is called in your list, for example "Work".
- Choose IMAP at the top. That is usually already selected. Do not choose POP: your iPhone then pulls the mail off the server and you will not see it anywhere else.
-
Under Incoming Mail Server enter:
- Host Name:
mail.i-job.nl - User Name: your full email address
- Password: your mail password
- Host Name:
- Under Outgoing Mail Server enter exactly the same. Even though the user name and password are marked "optional": fill them in anyway. Leave them empty and you will be able to receive mail but not send it. That is the most common mistake.
- Tap Next and wait a moment. Your iPhone checks the details; that sometimes takes half a minute.
- Switch Mail on and tap Save. Notes can stay off. Done, your mail is in the Mail app.
Sending not working?
Nine times out of ten the outgoing server is not set correctly. Here is how to check:
- Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → your account.
- Tap your email address at the top (under IMAP Account), then SMTP → Primary Server.
- Check: Host Name
mail.i-job.nl· User Name your full address · Password filled in · Use SSL on · Server Port465. - Go back and tap Advanced: Use SSL on and Server Port

A signature is the block that appears automatically under every email: your name, your job title, your phone number and your website. You set it up once and from then on it goes along with everything you send.
In Spark on your Mac or PC
-
Open Spark and go to Settings.
On a Mac via Spark → Settings in the menu bar (or
⌘+,). On Windows via the cog in the bottom left. - Choose Signatures. You will see a list of your signatures. It is empty if you do not have one yet.
- Click + to create a new one. Give it a name that makes sense to you, for example "Business".
- Type your signature in the box. The toolbar above it handles bold, italic, underline, colour, a link and an image. That is the HTML formatting, you do not have to type any code yourself.
- Link it to your email address. Under Accounts, switch the new signature on next to your i-job address, so Spark knows which one to use.
- Close the settings and send a test email to yourself. That way you see exactly what the recipient sees.
⌘ or Ctrl + C) and paste it into Spark's signature box. The formatting, the links and the logo usually come along.
In Spark on your iPhone or iPad
- Open Spark and tap the menu in the top left. The three lines, or your profile circle.
- Tap the cog (Settings).
- Choose Signature. Is your signature already on your computer? Then it is usually here already, because Spark syncs it through your account.
- Edit it, or create a new one, and save. On the phone the formatting options are simpler, so it is best to build the signature on your computer and then use it everywhere.
In webmail, without an app
Working in your browser? You can set the signature up there too. It then only applies to mail you send through webmail.
- Log in to your webmail and open Settings (the cog).
- Go to Identities and click your email address.
- Fill in the Signature box. Switch the HTML option on if you want bold text, links or a logo.
- Save and send a test email to yourself.
In the Mail app on your iPhone
Apple's Mail app only supports a simple signature, without a logo. Go to Settings → Apps → Mail → Signature. Choose Per Account if you want a different one per address. This is also where you remove "Sent from my iPhone".
- Your first and last name, and your job title
- Your company name
- Phone number and your email address
- Your website, as a clickable link
- Optionally your logo, kept small
Send us your name, job title, phone number and your logo. Then we will build a signature in your brand style that you can simply paste in.
You send an email and the recipient never sees it. Or: they do see it, but in their spam folder. Here is why that happens, and what you can do about it.
How does a spam filter decide what is spam?
Almost every email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Ziggo Mail and so on) uses automatic filters that assess every incoming message. Those filters look at hundreds of signals: the sender address, the content, the reputation of the mail server and the behaviour of other recipients.
In short: if your email address or domain has ever been linked to bulk sending, is new, or if people have marked your messages as spam before, the system remembers. Later messages automatically get a lower trust score.
Why does this happen to ordinary senders too?
You do not have to be a spammer to end up in the spam folder. The filters are set strictly because the volume of real spam is enormous. As a result legitimate emails are sometimes held back unfairly.
Common causes:
- A new email address with no "track record"
- Certain words that filters recognise as suspicious
- Your own domain name that is not known yet
- Messages that others have marked as spam before
- Emailing many recipients at once from a personal account
